Sabrina Carpenter and Miss Piggy are two famous blondes who love getting dolled up — but after the singer “arrested” the famed Muppet at a Short n’ Sweet Tour stop, they might also share beef.

In a video interview with TV Insider posted Tuesday (Feb. 3) — one day before the return of The Muppet Show via a Disney+ special in which the singer-songwriter guest stars — Miss Piggy addressed where she stands with Carpenter. When asked specifically whether the two-time Grammy winner’s cameo on the special means they’ve “made up” after she playfully arrested Miss Piggy as part of a recurring bit at her shows, the beloved porcine children’s character said she wasn’t sure.

“Well, I was at the concert after we filmed the show, so I guess my answer is: I’m not sure,” Miss Piggy answered candidly as Kermit the Frog nodded beside her. “I mean, you know, when she arrested me, it wasn’t a bad thing, you understand? It was a sign of respect.”

Miss Piggy was present at Carpenter’s tour-wrapping Short n’ Sweet concert in Los Angeles on Nov. 23. With help from Bobo the Bear, the Girl Meets World alum put the fabulous swine under arrest for being “too hot,” saying from the stage, “You’re so funny, Miss Piggy, wow! You’re like the only celebrity I get nervous to be around. I’m getting really flustered.”

But while Miss Piggy insists the concert arrest was all in good fun, she did get a little testy with Carpenter while filming The Muppet Show special, which is now available to watch on Disney+. In one scene, the pop star tells her, “I basically modeled my whole look and style after you.”

“Oh, trust me,” Miss Piggy responds. “My attorneys and I have taken notice, and we will be in touch.”
