BLACKPINK just shared a batch of concept photos for its upcoming DEADLINE mini-album, giving BLINKs a taste of the sophisticated new chapter the band’s about to embark on.

Ditching the pink that was present throughout their past eras, members LISA, JENNIE, ROSÉ and JISOO pose in all-white outfits with contrasting textures and layers in the four grayscale snaps shared by YG Entertainment on Thursday (Jan. 29). None of their full faces are shown — only close-ups of pouty lips, sleek updos, fierce manicures, etc.

“Sensual black-and-white aesthetic meets an irresistible aura, heightening anticipation for the new release,” the press release describes the teaser posters, adding that they evoke “the feeling of a refined work of art” that makes it “impossible to look away.”

The photos come just less than a month before the release of DEADLINE, BLACKPINK’s first album in more than three years. The project — which follows 2022 Billboard 200-topper Born Pink — will feature a total of five tracks, including lead single “JUMP,” which arrived in July.

“It’s an album that we’ve all kind of obviously come back from after that year of exploring and all being our individual selves,” ROSÉ said of the project in a recent appearance on Call Her Daddy, referring to the group’s 2024 break to explore solo opportunities. “And so I think it was really interesting to come back and see what was created after that. I really like all the songs there.”

But while the album is still on the horizon, BLACKPINK already officially reunited last year, embarking on a world tour that spanned 33 shows across 16 cities. The trek kicked off in July in Goyang, South Korea, and saw the foursome traveling through stadiums around North America, Europe and Asia, ending with a run of performances in Hong Kong in January.
