Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Adam Levine return for a new season of The Voice: Battle of Champions. They share who they’re most excited to see return, what fans can expect from their performances together and more!

John Legend:

We’re also doing the all-star showdown this season, which is different. We’re bringing back some of our greatest artists from seasons past.

Kelly Clarkson:

Fighting for us for another spot in the final. 

John Legend:

That’s right. Are we? 

Kelly Clarkson:

Elated? 

John Legend:

We love truly, not just because she’s here. We truly love having Kelly back. She brings such great energy, such great expertise. She also is really difficult to beat.

Adam Levine:

She’s also, like, one of the best singers ever.

Kelly Clarkson:

You know what I was going to say, look, I’ve toured with Adam. He’s one of the greatest singers live. He is insane live. I have seen you, John, live. You are insane. The showmanship, the level of writing and your voice. It’s so fun to cut like we were thinking about a song to sing all together. And there’s so many different types of artists, it’s kind of hard to pick a song. But I think all of us are based in soulfulness. It doesn’t matter the genre we all are soulful and whatever genre where we happen to be singing in, and we all love playing in different genres. It’s actually my favorite set of like, coaches to work with in that, in that sense, because it’s like.

Adam Levine:

Yeah, the musical taste, I think, between the three of us is very cohesive, yeah, like, and I think that’s it’s not, not that we haven’t shared tons in common with other, with other coaches as well. But like, this does feel like we come from a very similar place.

John Legend:

Basically, everyone be very excited for our coach performance. Yes, exactly. It’s gonna be nice.
