Seven months after the world became obsessed with the tech CEO and his HR chief stealing a kiss on the big screen at a Coldplay show, the gotcha moment seen ’round the world is coming to the Super Bowl. Borrowing a theme from arch rival Coke’s wintertime polar bear ads, Pepsi’s “The Choice” spot — which will air during Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8 in a 30-second version — revives the decades-old Pepsi vs. Coke blindfold challenge, with a twist.

The 45-second commercial directed by Oscar-winner Taika Waititi (Jojo Rabbit) opens with a blindfolded polar bear sitting in a gleaming white lab at a desk with a can of Pepsi Zero Sugar and Coke Zero Sugar in front of him. Without hesitation, the bear confidently grunts and points to the Pepsi before taking off his mask, so surprised at his choice that he has to go lay down on his therapist’s couch to discuss it, with the doctor played by double-threat Waititi.

As Queen’s 1984 anthem “I Want to Break Free” plays in the background, the listless bear wanders the city as he stares longingly through a window at a group of friends yukking it up while eating pizza and drinking Pepsi, fogging up the window in his thirst for the sugar-free soda. Just then, a female polar bear pops up on the sidewalk offering him a can and they share a cute moment.

Cut to a massive stadium packed with fans, and Pepsi logos, and a hilarious re-creation of the Coldplay kiss-cam fiasco as the male bear hugs his pop paramour from behind, wrapping his arms around her as the both hold cans. Their smiles briefly turn to shock and horror, though, as they realize their illicit soda summit is being played on the Jumbotron. Unlike the real-life couple in the scandal, though, these bears don’t duck out of frame and scramble for cover, they just smile and raise their hands, and cans, in celebration.
