Ella Langley recently entered the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 with her catchy hit “Choosin’ Texas,” but that’s just a taste of the music Langley has crafted for her upcoming sophomore set, Dandelion, out April 10 on SAWGOD/Columbia Records.

Langley executive produced the album alongside country music hitmaker Miranda Lambert and Ben West. Lambert is also a co-writer on “Choosin’ Texas” with Langley, Luke Dick and JoyBeth Taylor.

Dandelion follows Langley’s 2024 debut set hungover, which included her No. 1 Billboard Country Airplay hit “You Look Like You Love Me” (with Riley Green) and the hungover deluxe edition’s “Weren’t for the Wind.”

The new album’s title track will arrive on Friday (Jan. 30) and was written by Langley, Taylor, Austin Goodloe and Brett Tyler. “Dandelion” was inspired by the hearty plant, which can survive in harsh environments and can also potentially serve as an aid for liver purification.

“I learned that dandelion tea is actually a natural detox for the liver,” Ella noted of the title track. “So a record called Dandelion after a record called hungover made all the sense in the world to me.”

“This record has so much growth in it,” Langley said of the upcoming album. “I’ve never poured more of myself into a project, into a song, into an idea, and it’s fallen out so beautifully. It’s about learning yourself, making mistakes, and realizing that it’s all just part of life.”

She added, “I want this record to be something that fans can relate to, but also something they want to get up and dance to at the same time. To me, this record feels like fireflies in the summertime. It feels like windows down on a red dirt road. It feels like the best kind of Sunday afternoon. It feels like those days I remember as a kid where it felt like there weren’t enough hours in the day. This record is really a love letter to that.”

Lambert praised Langley on Instagram, writing, “Thank you Ella for ‘Choosin’ Texas’ to help you produce this amazing record. It’s been an honor working with you and Ben. I cherish your friendship sister. You’re a ‘Dandelion’ and I can’t wait for the world to hear this.”
