Taiyo Kuzumi, Masafumi Sugiura & Pita, Junnosuke Ito’s Umamusume: Cinderella Gray Vol. 23 debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Book Hot 100 list released Mar. 26.

Umamusume: Cinderella Gray is a spinoff manga from the Umamusume: Pretty Derby franchise, centered on fan-favorite character Oguri Cap. The series was adapted into an anime series last year, and this 23rd volume serves as the last in the manga version. The title topped the e-book metric this week while also placing at No. 6 in brick-and-mortar sales and No. 16 in e-commerce (EC).

Yama Wayama’s Famiresu Iko. Part 2 holds at No. 2 with three metrics inside the top 20: No. 2 in brick-and-mortar sales, No. 7 in e-books, and No. 13 in e-commerce. After topping the chart twice in a row, Eiichiro Oda’s ONE PIECE Vol. 114 stays within the the top 3, extending its brick-and-mortar streak at No. 1 to three consecutive weeks. The digital edition is scheduled for release Apr. 3. 

In other chart news, the translated version of Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary — the Hollywood film adaptation starring Ryan Gosling opened in Japanese cinemas Mar. 20 — jumps back into the top 20 at No. 16. The title lands at No. 3 on the social media metric and scores points across all five tracked metrics: brick-and-mortar, EC, e-books, and subscriptions.
