Everyone knows the song “Good Riddance,” but if you don’t, we’ll get you up to speed.

It’s a classic Green Day track that was dropped back in 1997 off the band’s Nimrod album. The track was decidedly not something Green Day usually put out, a ballad-esque number with strings to match, but it resonated with folks around the world, especially those going through changes. From graduations and proms to farewells of all sorts, the song became the soundtrack to events like these, reminding those in a transitional period of the good times gone by.

In the spirit of replicating that magic, and making some killer clothes too, singer and songwriter Gigi Perez teamed up with Hollister to cover the beloved track dressed head to toe in the brand’s new digs from their aptly titled Time of Your Life campaign.

This is a butter yellow oversized hoodie. The drawstrings are adorned with cute beads that read “Senior 2026.”

The duo partnered up to film a music video for the cover song filmed in collaboration with creative and filmmaker Natalie Simmons. The video follows a group of high school seniors ahead of graduation and centers around what Hollister calls a “Memory Market,” a conceptual storefront where keepsakes represent defining moments from the school year.

Like many, Perez associates the Green Day track with a sense of nostalgia. “I grew up listening to Green Day,” said Perez in an interview with Hollister. “They’re very much a big part of my childhood. I remember going over to my friend’s house. He lived across the street from me and he was a big Green Day fan. He played guitar and I was always so interested in that. And that’s one of the songs (“Good Riddance”) that he would play.” The “Time of Your Life” music video featuring Perez is available to watch now.

As far as the collection goes, Hollister took the theme of nostalgia and ran with it, creating pieces for both men and women inspired by the excitement of graduation day. The collection includes the brand’s classic and cozy denim, apparel, footwear and accessories with subtle “Class of” and “2026” details throughout certain pieces.

Boxy Short-Sleeve Crochet-Style Shirt

This is a men’s crochet shirt. The style is boxy and features a collar and short sleeves.

Some of our favorites we’ve spotted include a milestone-worthy white lace dress, along with a pink cami top and matching shorts trimmed with dainty lace. The set is affixed with grad-inspired print with sayings like “Senior” and motifs of little graduation caps and diplomas. For men, we’ve seen breezy and grungy flannels, a piece that Green Day would certainly approve of, along with jorts with embroidered stars on the hem that further elevate otherwise simple jean shorts.

“There were a lot of pieces that I felt made [this opportunity] perfect,” Perez remarked. “I’m a very deeply nostalgic person; thinking about my own senior year, what Green Day has meant to me, and the existing relationship with Hollister to deliver this reimagining of a song that is very important to me, has been really special.” The collection is available shop on Hollister’s website.
