Jennifer Lopez’s film Kiss of the Spider Woman will finally be available to stream on Hulu.
The 2025 adaptation of the Broadway musical will be available on Hulu on Friday (Feb. 27), four months after its theatrical release in 2025. The film, spearheaded by Lopez alongside Diego Luna, grossed $1.6 million worldwide and was released digitally on Nov. 11, 2025. The film was directed by Bill Condon and adapted from the acclaimed 1976 novel Kiss of the Spider Woman by Argentine writer Manuel Puig.

Kiss of the Spider Woman 2025
Kiss of the Spider Woman is a 2025 film based on the Broadway musical and novel of the same name. The film stars Jennifer Lopez, Diego Luna and Tonatiuh, among others.

The film was also adapted from the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical of the same name by playwright Terrence McNally, with music from composer and lyricist duo John Kander and Fred Ebb, who are behind well-known Broadway musicals like Chicago and Cabaret. The pair even wrote the original score for the 1992/93 Kiss of the Spider Woman on Broadway, so it was no wonder they were tapped for the film adaptation. Kander and Ebb took home a Tony Award for Best Score, one of seven prizes for the 1992 show.

Kiss of the Spider Woman is a dark drama about an unlikely bond forged between two cellmates, Molina and Valentín, in a 1980s Argentine prison during a military dictatorship. In order to escape from their reality, Molina tells Valentín fantastical stories, weaving stories of old Hollywood films with fantasy sequences centered around the fictional character Aurora, played by Lopez.
As he tells these stories, the pair’s friendship turns into a romance. The music in the film is a key part, coloring Molina’s stories with more detail and much-needed context. It is at times moody and sensual, while other moments are quintessential 1950s-style Technicolor fantasy numbers.
