The WWE is headed to Saudi Arabia to kick off the first major wrestling event of the year, Royal Rumble 2026. Featuring the famous royal rumble match, 30 wrestlers (30 men, 30 women) will enter the ring, but only one will win and punch their ticket to Wrestlemania.
Airing live today, Saturday, Jan. 31, the event will also featuring a highly anticipated Undisputed WWE Championship bout between Drew McIntyre (champion) and Sami Zayn alongside a heavyweight “retirement” matchup between Gunther vs. AJ Styles.
When Does the 2026 Royal Rumble Start?
The WWE Royal Rumble event will start at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT on Saturday, Jan. 31. Why so early? Well, this year the wrestling event takes place at Riyadh Season Stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Because of the time zone difference, the event is airing earlier than usual the States.
