Harry Styles‘ music and his fans belong together, and for the first time in years — with the release of new song “Aperture” on Thursday (Jan. 22) — they finally reunite.

Arriving a few weeks ahead of the singer’s fourth solo album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, “Aperture” finds Styles crooning over an electric beat produced by Kid Harpoon. It marks the first step in a new era that’s already defined by romance, dancing and whimsy, which the One Direction alum kicked off earlier in January with the launch of his WeBelongTogether.co.

The website preceded the announcement of Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally on Jan. 15, at which time he unveiled the release date (March 6) and cover art (a slightly out-of-focus photo of Styles at a dance party near dark woods) on Instagram. At this time, fans don’t know much about the full-length, other than it including 12 tracks worked on by Kid Harpoon — but “Aperture” marks their first taste of Styles’ next phase.

Two months after Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally arrives, the Brit will embark on a series of residencies in seven different cities, starting May 16 with five performances in Amsterdam. After stops in London, São Paulo and Mexico City, Styles will set up shop for an eye-popping 30 shows in New York City’s Madison Square Garden, where a banner celebrating his numerous 2022 Love On Tour shows in the famed venue already hangs. After NYC, Styles will close out the trek in Australia in late November, early December.

The hitmaker last dropped an album in 2022, when Harry’s House spent two weeks atop the Billboard 200. His first two albums also debuted at No. 1 on the chart. Harry’s House won the album of the year Grammy in 2023 and housed the 15-week Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “As It Was.”
