Blake Shelton brought the hits to kick off his new residency Blake Shelton: Live in Las Vegas on Thursday (Jan. 15) at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
“It may be Thursday night, but every night is Saturday in Vegas, so let’s get this one started!” Shelton told the crowd, adding, “And if you’re doing Dry January, take the night off,” as he raised a cup.
The nearly two-hour show featured 22 tunes, encompassing Shelton’s 25-year career, as well as a few well-placed covers. The show was packed with many of Shelton’s 30 Billboard No. 1s on the Country Airplay chart, including “Austin,” “Some Beach,” “Home,” “Hillbilly Bone,” “God Gave Me You” and his most recent chart-topper “Stay Country or Die Tryin,” which topped the chart dated Jan. 17.
Shelton is now in second place on the Country Airplay chart’s all-time leaderboard, only behind Kenny Chesney, who has 33 No. 1s, since the chart launched in 1990.
Shelton has long expressed his adoration for influences like George Strait and Alabama and paid homage to both on opening night with lively covers of Strait’s “All My Ex’s Live in Texas” and Alabama’s “Mountain Music.”
His favorite duet partner and his wife, Gwen Stefani, was unable to be there because it was a school night, but he also performed their duets, “Happy Anywhere” and “Nobody But You,” with Stefani popping up onscreen for the latter.
The evening kicked off the Oklahoma native’s second residency at The Colosseum, following his 2025 run that started in February last year.
Limited tickets are available for the remaining dates: Jan. 18, 21, 23, 24, 28 and 30-31. Here’s the complete setlist from Shelton’s opening-night show at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
