Bad Bunny, Carín León, Myke Towers and Rauw Alejandro take the lead with 10 nominations each for the 2026 Premio Lo Nuestro awards, Billboard can exclusively announce Tuesday (Jan. 13).
They are followed by Beéle, Fuerza Regida and Karol G with eight noms; Xavi with seven; and with six nominations each are Alejandro Fernández, Elena Rose, J Balvin, Maluma, Morat and Shakira.
Meanwhile, rising acts such as Alleh, Clave Especial, Esaú Ortiz, Juan Duque, Macario Martínez, Estevie, Camila Fernández, Yailin La Mas Viral, and Yeri Mua, are among those nominated in the revelation male artist of the year and revelation female artist of the year categories.
Under the theme “Honrando lo que Somos” (honoring who we are), the 38th annual awards ceremony “will honor pride in where we come from and the cultural force that unites generations, genres, and borders, paying tribute to our roots, our essence, and the cultural identity that defines us,” according to a press release. This year’s theme was inspired by the latest works of artists such as Bad Bunny’s Debí Tirar Más Fotos, Karol G’s Tropicoqueta, and Rauw Alejandro’s Cosa Nuestra, which are albums rooted in identity, culture, and nostalgia.
The 2026 nominations—based on airplay on Uforia stations and take into account airtime on Univision Radio, streaming data, and evaluation by a Television Committee composed of music and entertainment industry experts—highlight 44 categories across genres, including pop, urban, tropical, and Mexican music. The eligibility period for the 2026 awards spans from Sept. 30, 2024, through Oct. 1, 2025.
Voting will be open to fans until Jan. 26 at the official Premio Lo Nuestro website. The awards show will air at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, Feb. 19 on Univision in the U.S. and stream on VIX in Latin America.
