Kristin Chenoweth Performs First Concert In Fresno

   (Sept. 13, 2012) -- Kristin Chenoweth, the original good witch in Broadway's "Wicked," will be among the performers in this year's season of The Fresno Grand Opera. She also is well known for her guest appearances on "Glee" and "The Good Wife."

     Katherine Jenkins,  of last season's "Dancing With the Stars," also will perform in concert. Chenoweth takes the stage at the Saroyan Theater Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. and Jenkins is at the Warnor's Theater March 3 at 7:30 p.m. Two operas are part of the season offerings, "La Rondine" Jan. 11 and 13 and  "Candide" May 3 and 5 at 8:30 p.m. in Shaghoian Hall at Clovis North High School.

      "Vino and Verdi" is a concert and wine fund-raiser set for Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. in the Fresno City College Old Administration Building Concert Hall and courtyard.  " A Life In Four Seasons" Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. brings to life the work of Vivaldi on screen at the Shaghoian Hall with accompaniment by the Fresno Chamber Orchestra.
