(July 26, 2012) -- Construction will begin Friday on the Foster Farms Poultry Education and Research Facility at Fresno State. A ground-breaking ceremony is being hosted by the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology at 9 a.m. on the Fresno State campus, north of Barstow Avenue (between Chestnut and Woodrow avenues). Visitors should enter on Sierra Vista Avenue, west of the Dairy Unit.
A 16,000 square foot building is planned for the campus, which will contain an eco-friendly research and training center that replicates a professional poultry production plant.
