Free Community Health Academy Covers Best Practices

      (July 9, 2012) -- Healthy Communities Health ExChange Academy will present a free, one-day training session on the factors that shape the well-being of a community 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the University of California at Merced Center in Fresno, 550 E. Shaw Ave., Room 230-A.

    The training will teach strategies for changing the focus of communities for  preventing injury and illness in the first place with wise policies and practices using tools developed in successful cities around the country. Prevention Institute's nationally recognized best practices will be covered in the discussion. The event is sponsored by the California Endowment.
