(July 5, 2012) -- The latest dropout from Reedley College is the president, Mitjl Capet, resigned this week after holding the title at Reedley for less than a year.
The Fresno Bee is reporting that State Center Community College Board of Trustees accepted Capet's resignation Tuesday night. An interim president will replace Capet, as the district searches for a new president.
Capet came to Reedley last summer from College of the Canyons/Santa Clarita Community College District. He replaced Barbara Hioco, Reedley's first female president.
Capet's tenure included as deep budget cuts, slashed course offerings and hiked student fees. Its accreditation evaluation criticized the college for a lack of clear leadership.
