Con Men Scam Fresno Victims

( two scammed by scammers)
 TWO FRESNO RESIDENTS WERE SCAMMED OUT OF A SIZEABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY YESTERDAY WHEN THEY WERE APPROACHED BY PHONY SALES REPS FOR A PHONY COMPUTER FIRM IN THE ELECTRONICS SECTION OF A LOCAL WAL-MART STORE.
 POLICE LT. ANTONY MARTINEZ SAYS THE SCAMMERS CONVICED THE VICTIMS TO MEET THEM AT A RESTAURANT TO MAKE A DEAL FOR SOME HIGH END COMPUTER EQUPMENT.
 AT THE RESTAURANT A PRICE WAS AGREED UPON.  THEN, ONE OF THE VICTIMS LEFT TO GET MORE CASH.  THE REMAINING PERSON THEN HANDED OVER MONEY TO THE CON MEN WHO LEFT TWO COMPUTER PACKING BOXES.  WHEN OPENED, THEY WERE FOUND TO CONTAIN PHONE BOOKS, NOT COMPUTERS.
 THE SCAM ARTISTS ARE DESCRIBED AS TWO AFRICAN AMERICAN MALES IN THEIR LATE 30S OR EARLY 40S, VERY WELL DRESSED WITH FAKE ID BADGES.
