Fowler Raisin Farmer Sentenced


65 YEAR OLD DONNIE SRABIAN OF FOWLER WAS SENTENCED EARLIER THIS WEEK TO THREE YEARS OF PROBATION AND 100 HOURS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR POINTING A GUN AT A SHERIFF DEPUTY OUTSIDE SARABIAN’S FARMHOUSE. THE DEPUTY TESTIFIED THAT HE THOUGHT HE HAD COME UP ON A HOME INVASION ROBBERY WHEN SARABIAN BURST OUT OF HIS HOME WITH A GUN AND WEARING A SKI MASK. THE DEPUTY SHOT SARABIAN, WHO RECOVERED FROM HIS WOUND. SARABIAN TESTIFIED THAT HE THOUGHT AN INTRODUCER WAS ON HIS PROPERTY AND GRABBED THE GUN TO PROTECT HIMSELF. A JURY LAST WEEK, ACQUITTED SARABIAN ON TWO FELONY GUN CHARGES BUT FOUND HIM GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR CHARGE OF BRANDISHING A GUN IN A THREATENING MANNER.
