San Francisco Targets Smart Meters

( SAN FRANCISCO TARGETS SMART METERS)
THE CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO WANTS PG&E TO STOP INTALLING THOSE SMART METERS OF THEIRS UNTIL A FULL INVESTIGATION IS COMPLETED.
THE SAN FRANCISCO CITY ATTORNEY HAS SENT A LETTER TO THE P.U.C.  ASKING FOR THE HALT.  IT MARKS THE FIRST TIME A CITY HAS FORMALLY ASKED THAT THE SMART METERS BE PUT ON HOLD.  THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS SAY THEY ARE BEING OVER-CHARGED BY THE NEW TECHNOLOGY.
AFTER MONTHS OF DENYING ANY PROBLEM WITH THE SMART METERS, PG&E FINALLY GOT "SMART" LAST MONTH AND ADMITTED THAT ABOUT 43-THOUSAND OF THEM ACTUALLY  DO HAVE GLITCHES.
