Perea Names Hispanic Heritage Awards

  (Sept. 28, 2012) -- Hispanic community leaders who are making a difference will be honored Monday in a private ceremony by Assemblymember Henry T. Perea, D-Fresno, at the 31st Assembly District's Hispanic Heritage Awards.

     The honorees are Jamie Ledezma, cancer survivor and patient advocate;    Andrew Rios and Nelson Alvarado, – Reedley volunteer firefighters; Terri Cubillos, first female sergeatnt at Kerman Police Department;             Yammilette Rodriguez, Director, Youth Leadership Institute and My Sisters’ Closet; and  Kathleen De La Torre, Volunteer at Angels of Grace.
